Deli introduces The Invigorator– spreading positivity for British Sandwich Week

There’s an extra reason to be happy this British Sandwich Week – a mood and energy boosting sandwich made exclusively at a famous North-Yorkshire deli.

To mark British Sandwich Week, which runs from 20th to 26th May, Hunters of Helmsley has added The Invigorator sandwich to its deli menu. The store sells over 50,000 takeaway sandwiches every year from its base on Helmsley’s bustling Market Place.

The Invigorator has been carefully created to give the person eating it a boost, with ingredients specially chosen because of their beneficial properties in relation to well-being, mood and energy levels.

The Sandwich includes:

Christine Garnett, who owns Hunters of Helmsley with husband Chris, said: “It’s no secret that certain nutrients have a profound effect on brain function, and can help boost your mood in both the short and long term. Lots of these nutrients, such as Vitamins B and D, zinc, calcium, iron and magnesium are found in abundance in lots of tasty fresh foods. We thought it was a great idea to combine some of our favourites to make The Invigorator. It’s healthy, vegetarian/vegan, good for the heart, super colourful and tastes great – which was vital, as it’s not going to boost anyone’s mood if they don’t enjoy eating it! It is the perfect midday pick-me-up, to get your afternoon off to a great start – no mid-afternoon slumps in sight!”

The sandwich will be available at Hunters from 20th May, freshly made to order at a price of £3.60.

Hunters has been based on Helmsley’s picturesque Market Place for 28 years and was previously awarded the title of Britain’s Best Small Shop at the House of Commons. For more information about Hunters of Helmsley visit www.huntersofhelmsley.com or follow them on Facebook/Twitter.
