Crafty Pair organise Spring workshops to share creative talents

Helmsley workshops cover needle felting and lampshade making

Craft lovers in Ryedale have the chance to attend a series of Spring workshops being organised by The Crafty Pair and the independent artists they work with.

Talented local lampshade maker Jane Cranage, who sells her bespoke shades at The Crafty Pair’s Helmsley shop, will be leading a lampshade workshop on 23rd March. Running from 6pm to 8pm at the Helmsley Town Hall, attendees can learn how to create their own unique lampshade, either bringing a favourite fabric with them or choosing from Jane’s range on the evening. The workshop costs £45 per person to include hot drinks, biscuits and materials (excluding fabric).

The Crafty Pair’s creative owners, Hils Hawkins and Barbara Hirst will also be hosting their own needle felting workshops at their Cleveland Way premises over the next three months:

Anyone interested in registering for an event or finding out more should get in touch with The Crafty Pair via their Facebook page or by calling 01439 770332.

The Crafty Pair opened in December 2018. As well as offering crafting materials, workshops and crafting parties it also provides a retail outlet for local crafters, including a silver maker, wood turner, needle worker, glass worker, photographer and potter.
