Helmsley Makes Christmas Magical

Join us for festive cheer! Kicking off the winter season with fun, music and a few mince pies. Small Business Saturday will be in attendance to bring further warmth to an excellent afternoon of events brought to you by Visit Helmsley.


Pantomime of Dick Whittington & his Cat at Helmsley Arts Centre. Performances on until December 10th (sure to be a sell out – buy tickets now)

– Jam Jar raffle & tombola
– Star trail throughout the town
– Mulled wine & mince pies


– Swinton Brass Band
– Santa opens his grotto


– Town crier announces the light switch on
– Julian Norton ‘The Yorkshire Vet’ officially turns on the Christmas Lights and draws the Xmas donation envelope prize winner.


Town Crier leads the way to the Church for the opening of the Christmas Tree Festival with Swinton Brass Band and carols. The fabulous, festive star themed Christmas Tree Festival runs from 2nd December – 17th December, everyday from 10am – 4pm
