Helmsley businesses working safely for the local community

Helmsley in Business compiles a list of companies which are open and offering delivery or collection services for local residents

Businesses in Helmsley are finding new ways to operate in order to be able to provide a service for local residents in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Tony Porter, chair of Helmsley in Business and owner of Porters Coffee Shop, said: “These are unprecedented times and of course we’d love to be in a position to welcome back with open arms the many tourists we enjoy visiting our wonderful town. But whilst we’re not quite there yet, we do need to ensure local people from Helmsley and the surrounding villages have access to the services and products they need without putting themselves at risk. At this difficult time we all need to try and be kind to our fellow humans and to remember that better times are ahead. Hopefully Helmsley and its many fantastic independent businesses will continue to thrive.”
