No secret code required – everyone welcome at Helmsley Library’s Code Club

Fun introduction to coding to take place on 6th October, 10-12

Helmsley Community Library will be hosting a Code Club on Saturday 6th October.

As part of the nationwide Fun Palaces initiative the drop in session will run between 10am and 12noon and everyone is welcome.

The Code Club is a fun way to introduce coding to children and adults, giving them a chance to explore what coding is and how it works. The session is free of charge.

Jeanne Brown, who chairs the Helmsley Community Library Steering Group and trustees, working with other volunteers, said: “Anyone of any age is welcome to come along and find out more about coding, which is something that is becoming more and more important in modern life. There will be volunteers on hand to help visitors get started having fun with coding, and it’s a great opportunity for young people to find out more about this important skill. So, bring along your children or grandchildren, or if you’re curious about coding, come along on your own! We’d love to see as many people there as possible.”
