Helmsley Wines heads to 10 Downing Street

A Helmsley business is celebrating being included in this years ‘Small Biz 100’ with an invitation to 10 Downing Street.

This year Small Business Saturday, which falls on 2nd December 2017, is once again highlighting 100 small businesses, one a day for the 100 days leading up to Small Business Saturday 2017. Helmsley Wines has this year been chosen as one of the Small Biz 100.

Established in 2013, Helmsley Wines is an independent wine merchant located in the market town of Helmsley, North Yorkshire, which is owned and run by husband and wife team, Malcolm and Jayne Potter. Speaking about their achievement, Mal said:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be named as one of Small Business Saturday’s ‘Top 100’ businesses for 2017. It is a privilege to be recognised nationally, and this award echos the ethos of Helmsley Wines. We are a small independent business with a big heart. Our aim is to give our customers the ultimate experience and to keep the high street alive with exciting, quality wines and spirits.

On Small Business Saturday we will be offering a selection of tasting events in store to thank our loyal and regular customers who have supported us since we opened in November 2013.”

On Thursday 30th November 2017, Mal will represent Helmsley Wines at a Small Business Saturday event to be held at 10 Downing Street.

“It is an absolute honour to be invited to attend this event at 10 Downing Street and to be representing small independent businesses across the UK.”
